Reading goals for 2026

In 2026, I’ll start my seventh novel and have set the same reading goal of 75 books. Life has been busy lately, and I also plan to add content to Luminesce Publishing website to help authors. As much as I would love to sit around reading all the time, I also have writing I love to do.

Have you read any good books lately? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for reading

Thanks for sharing your favorites from 2025! As for other recent good reads, I just finished Nightshade by Michael Connelly, known for the Harry Bosch, Lincoln Lawyer and Renee Ballard series. Nightshade introduces a new character named Stillwell, a detective and sheriff’s deputy on Catalina Island, off the coast of Los Angeles. He investigates the death of a young woman who was found in the harbor, and in the course of that, peels back layers to expose more surprises. While I didn’t enjoy it as much as Connelly’s other novels, it was still solid with a suspenseful plot and interesting characters. 3.5 / 5
