    Obsession

    Another fine jewel written when I was 15. “Obsession” 5-14-97 Over-looking a beautiful Spring sunset. Beside myself with feelings of love. Shining like only I can shine. Endless dreams of him keep me alive. Smiling, for no one knows of my secret world. Seeing him the way I want him to be. I wish I could just fly peacefully with him. Observing him from so far away. Not seeing things as they really are.

    Angel

    I wrote this one for my mother when I was 15. “Angel” 3-22-97 An angel speaks softly into the night, “What shall I do now, now that my light is gone?” Her voice is shaken from the fear she has never before known. Never before has she felt so scared, confused, and all alone. “Is the sun forever gone?” She looked to the stars for the answer…. Each star became brighter under her gaze. “My fear shall improve with my moon’s age.” At once, each bright star fell and returned to the angel all the love she had given to the sun and received.     The Night

    I wrote this one when I was 15. “The Night” 11-22-96 Deep in the night I had a dream, and in it everything was okay. I was thoroughly happy, and nothing could take that away from me. I wasn’t at all doubtful, and in fact, feeling that way was entirely unknown to me. Everything worked out for the better the first time through, and it always had. Deep in the night I had a dream, and in it everything was not okay. Beauty was not in the eyes of the beholder, and I couldn’t find it in me.
