    In 2022, I met my Goodreads reading goal of 110 books (just barely)! Here are my top 10 fiction reads for the year, all of which I rated at 5 stars.   Fox Creek (Cork O’Connor, #19) William Kent Krueger Orphan Train Christina Baker Kline Heart Bones Colleen Hoover The Keeper of Lost Things Ruth Hogan Breathless Jennifer Niven The Probability of Miracles Wendy Wunder The Midwife’s Secret Emily Gunnis A Day Like This Kelley McNeil Everything Must Go Camile Pagán The Lighthouse Sisters Gill Thompson I also read several nonfiction books in 2022.     2021 in review: How the year played out and the best books I read

    Organization I’ve been trying to start this blog post for the past two days, but I keep getting caught up in one home organization project or another. I organized the clothing in my dresser and closet. Then, I sorted through all my jewelry and placed it into old pill boxes and various decorative storage containers to keep it straight, And this evening, I moved my sewing kit into one plastic lunch container so I could get rid of the old plastic drawer solution since the drawers never stayed closed.     Only a certain number of artists are significantly wealthy, and I am definitely not one of them. When I refer to “artists” I mean people who produce art in the visual realm, in music, in performances, and with the written word, of course. My strengths primarily lie in the written word, but I like to dabble in visual art as well. While I’ve sold my words, I have never sold any of my visual art, though I have given projects as gifts. I’ve never offered it for sale. I imagine the results of doing so would be very similar to my venture out into the publishing world—supplemented by my day…
